Is it too late to still be saying Happy New Year? Well, I said it anyway! With the festive season over and despite the cold weather, many of you will be thinking of riding scooters in the warm sunshine once again. So here is a reminder about the Mammoth Scooter Parts Fair 6 which takes place on Sunday 2 March 2025.
Strike a Deal & Avoid Online Scams!
Organised by scooterists for scooterists, the ‘Mammoth’ has become the premier event for those looking to buy or sell scooter parts, new and secondhand. Whether you are selling unwanted spares after completing your winter project, or searching for the final pieces to finish your scooter, the Mammoth Scooter Parts Fair is the place to be.
Trading face to face not only eliminates the chances of being scammed online, but it gives a better idea of the alternative option and range of parts available, and ultimately a greater opportunity for buyer and seller to negotiate a deal, aka haggle!
As well as private sellers emptying their sheds, scooter shops also use the Mammoth as the ideal place to sell excess stock as well as offer deals to customers to buy in bulk and avoid postage costs too!
Admission only £5
Entrance for those buying is just £5 per person (the same today as it was for our first Mammoth Scooter Parts Fair) on the gate. When it’s this cheap, there is no need for advance deals or discounts!
Pitches for those selling start at just £20 per table in advance. The venue at Melton Mowbray Market is undercover and on hard-standing, so even if the sun is not shining, you won’t be standing around in a wet field! Tables are provided for sellers, so all you have to do is load up your car at home and get your wares out on display upon arrival!
There are over 130 undercover table pitches and these pretty much sold out at the Mammoth 5, so our advice is to book in advance to guarantee yourself a pitch!
At our two events in 2024 (March and October) we had buyers and sellers travelling from all corners of England from Cumbria down to Cornwall, along with traders from Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Belgium too.
Onsite Facilities
Once at the Mammoth you will find that the site includes a pub, brewery, sit down cafe, restaurant, plus hot food and drinks to takeaway too. The onsite car park (also on hard standing) is only a few minutes walk from the main Mammoth Scooter Parts Fair. There is scooter parking too, for those only visiting for a social or not expecting to buy anything too bulky!
Booking Pitches
The site is being developed in 2025 and we have been advised that outdoor pitches may not be available at the Mammoth Scooter Parts Fair 6, or at the best very restricted. At the time of writing (10 January 2025) we are selling undercover table pitches only until our next site visit. We would advise any previous traders who usually go outside to consider booking undercover tables if possible. We will update the situation as soon as we can.
