I think we can all agree what a rubbish year 2020 has been so far. So here at ScooterNova we decided that a little gift to lift our spirits would do everyone some good.
We are therefore pleased to announce that we will be giving away a FREE A3 sized, double-sided poster to subscribers and pre-orders of edition 21 of ScooterNova magazine.
With the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally being cancelled this year, we thought the next best thing would be a nostalgic look at a previous event while we all look forward to the rallies of the future. So on one side is a print courtesy of photographer Simon Plant at scooter-life.com of an extremely iconic image he shot back in 1986 of scooters boarding the Isle of Wight ferry. For scooter riders the world over there is little that sums up the IOW more than an image like this. You can almost smell the 2-stroke…
Meanwhile, on other side is a wonderful piece of scooter art, hand-painted by Dave Dickinson of DDK Airbrushing. Dave painted this live at ScooterExpo in 2019 and it was used on the cover of edition 15 of ScooterNova. The opportunity to reproduce it at A3 sized allows us all to appreciate the detail even more.
Edition 21 of ScooterNova magazine is published at the end of August but to qualify for the FREE A3 poster you must have a valid subscription on, or pre-order by 14 August 2020 as the magazines and posters will be despatched directly from the printers.
You can subscribe here and order here.
Along with the free poster, edition 21 of ScooterNova is packed full of articles including an amazing home-built Vespa V-twin, the second part of Brad’s 1970s scooter scene article, some Lambretta paint anomalies by Vittorio Tessera, Part 2 of Dean Orton’s Restoration guide, a stunning SG230 custom Vespa street racer, DTC #40, a rare yet futuristic 1960s scooter from Japan, the Dolomites Lui run, Vespa Faro Basso with stunning accessories and a few other pieces too.
