ACMA Vespa & Lambretta LD

ACMA Vespa & Lambretta LD.
ACMA Vespa & Lambretta LD.

I’ve had this black and white print for years now, but I don’t know much about it. Then I remembered, that’s exactly what a blog such as this is for…

The photograph was presumably taken in the 1950s. She is sitting on board a French built ACMA Vespa (according to the scooter’s horncast badge) and from that we presume that the photo was taken in France. We therefore also presume that the gentleman is sitting on a French built Lambretta LD (there’s too little of it for me to identify it further), the bare handlebars making it an earlier model.

The next assumption is that the photograph was taken in the mid to late 1950s, and that’s where we run out. So if anyone out there can enlighten us further – mainly as to whether the people here are simply models or of there’s more to the shoot than that – otherwise we shall continue to enjoy this image as simply an arty photograph from yesteryear. Thank you very much.
