This weekend we are riding our scooters to Mersea Island Scooter Rally in Essex, and are proud to not only have the ScooterNova stall on site over the weekend but to be welcoming a guest from Italy too. Legendary Vespa tuning, Andrea Pinasco will be attending the rally on Saturday morning and Andy from ScooterNova will be hosting an interview with him to which everyone is invited.
When Pinasco was growing up during the 1960s there were no ‘off-the-shelf’ tuning kits available for him to fit to his Vespa, so he set about developing such a product. From small beginnings he expanded the range until today the Pinasco name is known by Vespa owners around the world.
The talk begins at 11am in the ‘canteen’ on site, and those wishing to attend are advised to get themselves a seat by 10:45am. Along with a chat about his life, Pinasco will also be presenting two books to the British market for the first time and signed copies will be available.
We will also have the brand new edition 51 of ScooterNova available (Sept/October 2025) which not only features Andrea Pinasco on the cover but includes an interview inside as well. These will be on sale after the interview and also on the ScooterNova magazine stall which will once again be located in the Colchester DVLC club marquee alongside their stall selling rally patches, T-shirts and other merchandise.
Although tickets for Mersea Island Scooter Rally sold out in advance, day tickets are available on the gate for anyone wishing to attend just for Saturday. Some weekend tickets are also being offered on social media pages by people no longer able to attend, but please make sure the seller is genuine and not a scammer before striking any deals.
