Weymouth Scooter Rally (and where to buy ScooterNova magazine)

If you are attending Weymouth scooter rally this weekend there will be numerous outlets on the rally campsite where you can find the brand new edition 44 of ScooterNova magazine for sale.

The South West Scooter Clubs (SWSC) stall on the rally campsite at Weymouth Rugby Club is where you will find the Weymouth scooter rally patches, T-shirts and other SWSC merchandise. They will also have the brand new edition 44 of ScooterNova magazine.

Andy and Kay B will be running the Vespa Club of Britain (VCB) stall at Weymouth, where members sign on for the VCB championship and browse club merchandise. The VCB also stock the new ScooterNova magazine along with a few previous editions, and Andy will be hosting a small ScooterNova magazine area for us as well with a few items such as T-shirts, the 2024 ScooterNova pin badges and some key fobs.

Elsewhere Disco Dave’s Scooter Shack (Scooter Trumps) stall not only sells plenty of scooters spares and consumables you may need to stock up on before  your ride home, but also ScooterNova magazine too, both the brand new and older editions.

George Fielder, ready to race. Far more exciting and productive for a schoolkid than playing video games, in our opinion at least!

TeamGeorge Scooters will also be trading at Weymouth scooter rally on Saturday, offering a range of spares and secondhand parts and ScooterNova magazine too. The Hampshire-based shop is run by Rob Fielder and supports his schoolboy son George who is currently competing in his first season of classic scooter racing with the BSSO. By way of sponsorship, all the money from every ScooterNova magazine sold by George or the shop go towards funding the young lad’s race season. So if you see the stall, or young George walking around wearing a red ScooterNova messenger bag from which he is selling magazines, buy yourself one and feel happy within yourself that you are helping the young lad race his Vespa.

Where are we?

Why are we telling you all this? Well unfortunately, after testing positive for Covid this week we are unable to attend Weymouth which we are very disappointed about after having such a great time there back in 2022. Not only was the weather on our side but the ride was fantastic and town more than welcoming.

So as we always say, please support a local scooter trader at Weymouth and purchase the brand new magazine (complete with FREE sticker) from their stall. If you want to check what’s inside, beyond the rare Spanish postal service Vespa and Lambretta depicted on the cover, then use this link to browse edition 44 in our online shop: https://scooternova.com/shop/edition-44/

What to Expect

For those attending Weymouth, the SWSC have once again put together a packed programme for you. Based at Weymouth Rugby Club towards the edge of town, the campsite opens at midday on Friday 19 July. It is here that the traders will set up and where the scooter custom show will take place on Saturday. The rugby club bar is well stocked and well priced and well worth visiting for both food and drink.

There is also entertainment both Friday and Saturday night in the clubhouse with scooterist DJs playing until 1am. A short walk away (or bus ride) in town the SWSC have also arranged for the Gloucester Pub to host the Norther Soul room both nights. The main entertainment is at the Pavilion with live bands and DJs over a couple of rooms. Click the above programme image for full details.

All that remains is to wish you all a safe ride and a fun weekend, and we look forward to seeing you somewhere soon (fingers crossed we will be riding the York SC club rally next weekend). And if you are not going and need a good scooter read, check out edition 44 of ScooterNova at your local scooter shop, or buy online via this link and have it delivered tyo you at home: https://scooternova.com/shop/edition-44/
