This weekend the Damsels in Distress SC will be welcoming scooter riders to the popular holiday destination of sunny Portrush for the second BSRA National Scooter Rally of 2024. This is the first time a national scooter rally has been held in Northern Ireland. The club have Kelly’s Complex for evening entertainment, with ticket only access, although this has been sold out for some time. Fear not, there are pubs galore to keep scooterists happy.
We’ve been to Portrush many times for various scooter rallies, including Gathering of the Clans, and highly recommend the Antrim Coast Road to get there. It’s one of our favourite riding roads in the UK.
There is plenty to see and do in the area and another ScooterNova recommendation is the nearby town of Bushmills, famous for the whiskey of the same name. Even if you don’t have time for a tour, the smell of whiskey in the air is amazing!

What’s on weekend information – bands, the rideout, on-site chippie, the Damsels bus information and the not-to-be-missed Karaoke with Michelle, etc, is all on the link below for you to download and keep handy.
The Portush scooter rally patch is dedicated to Marti Locke, a Northern Ireland scooter rider and DJÂ who passed away recently. Marti was a fixture on the Belfast music and scooter scene and owned the beautiful Rally featured on the patches. R.I.P. Marti Bo.

Hopefully you’ve already got our fantastic Rok Straps to secure your luggage to your scooter and these sold like hot cakes at Whitby scooter rally and the VMSC show last weekend. Don’t worry though, we have obtained more stock since then, ready for the rest of the rally season.
Hopefully the Irish Sea will be kind this weekend and everyone will enjoy the craic!!
