Nearly 40 years on from it’s launch, the last true sporting Vespa, the 125cc T5 is still as popular today as it was back in the 1980s. In the latest edition of ScooterNova magazine, scooterist Chris Mac shares his custom street racer with us.

Named the Brogue Mobile No2 as a nod to his business, the Brogue Trader (yes, it’s shoes he sells!), Chris originally had two scooters customised in a similar style, a Vespa T5 and a Lambretta GP. But talking to Chris afterwards he admitted he was a Vespa man at heart and he never really got on with the Lambretta. That was recently sold, but Chris kept his ‘square tail’ T5, the original 125cc motor replaced by a tuned engine to match the vibrant paintwork.
