We’ve just about recovered and caught up with all the orders after Isle of Wight and our scooters are packed with camping gear again as we head to Essex for Colchester DVLC’s 30th anniversary of Mersea Island Scooter Rally, another scooter event that ScooterNova magazine are proud to be a sponsor of.
Between us we haven’t missed many of those rallies. Andy thinks he was at the first one, but it was a long time ago and his memory isn’t what it used to be! Ann’s first ride to Mersea Island was the infamous rally in 1997, where co-incidentally Andy bought one of the last brand new Indian Lambretta GPs produced from Stoffi, a scooter he still owns and rides today!
The 2023 rally has long sold out. Gates officially open on Friday the 1st of September at Midday. Don’t forget… the first 500 scooter riders get a free rally patch, the first 1000 scooter riders also get a free 30th anniversary gift. After all, CDVLC’s slogan is #itsbetterbyscooter
