First Ride – New Piaggio 3-wheel Delivery Scooter: MyMoover 125

Always intrigued by new scooters that break convention, we first brought you details of the new 125cc Piaggio MyMoover delivery scooter back in April on this blog.

In May Scooternova were invited by Piaggio to test ride a number of new scooters in their fleet and subsequently became the first in the UK to try the new MyMoover.

Powered by a 125cc, liquid cooled 4-stroke engine with automatic CVT drive, the impressive load capacity of this scooter and extra wheel for stability are the big selling points here.
There are heavier forks to take care of the extra load, with disc brakes all round for increased stopping power.

As for the extra wheel, while Piaggio are already known for their best-selling MP3 range of three-wheeled scooters that riders lean lean into corners, their MyMoover is however a different three-wheeled machine.

For a start it has two wheels at the rear instead of the front (as the MP3s have), and the MyMoover’s wheels and engine stay planted on the road with the scooter’s main body leaning with the rider.

But rather than try and explain it all, why not take a look at the video of our little test ride here:

If you have a business that handles local deliveries, the Piaggio MyMoover does seem a sensible solution for some to be looking at when compared to a van.
Italy’s postal service agrees: Poste Italiane S.p.A. have ordered 5,000 Piaggio MyMoovers to be used for postal delivery services.

The Italian postal service have ordered thousands on the new Piaggio MyMoover for urban deliveries.
