Three Shires Ride thank you!

Arriving at the unofficial starting point on Saturday morning, we were delighted to see so many smiling scooter riders!

The sun was shining and we set off to ride through the scenic roads of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.

It was great to catch up with friends, old and new, at petrol stations and cafes along the way; checking out the variety of scooters from Vespas and Lambrettas to Moto Rumi and German scooters.  Sunday’s ride may not have lived up to its name, but a couple of summer showers did nothing to dampen our second day of fun!

Thanks to everyone who took part – scooter riders travelled from all over the country – and our sponsors, Lexham Insurance and Crusader Promotions, as well as extra donations and our own contribution, the Three Shires Ride raised £1,060 for the Local Air Ambulance Charity.

Thanks also to everyone who has submitted photos of their day. We’ll be adding these to the event page gallery and publishing some in the next edition of ScooterNova magazine.

We’ve had so much positive feedback that we’re already planning more events, so watch this space for the next ScooterNova ride!
