NEW Magazine and Isle of Wight scooter rally

The brand new edition of ScooterNova magazine is due to hit the streets right in time for the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally this August Bank Holiday weekend. We’ll be riding down and plotting up on the official rally campsite at Smallbrook Stadium, will you be joining us? Edition 15 of course features the amazing

front cover artwork, hand painted by Dave Dickinson of DDK Custom Airbrushing. He demonstrated his skills live at our ScooterExpo event in July on this very piece of art – which links us nicely to the fact that the exhibition is one of the articles you’ll find inside edition 15.

Also inside you’ll find features on four of the scooters that appeared at ScooterExpo, Unleashed from the 80s, a couple of tasty Lambretta Vegas and Breaking Rocks’ that was unveiled at the exhibition, albeit without its side panels – which are now completed and fitted too!

Elsewhere Vittorio takes a look in his archives at the early days of scooter sidecars, Bill goes touring to the Baltic, one Dan takes a look at the British Sun Wasp scooter and another tries a BGM 177cc kit on his Vespa PX.

ScooterNova magazine will be at the Isle of Wight from Thursday, with our stall open from Friday alongside our friends at Crusader Promotions who will be selling the official scooter rally patches and T-shirts.
You can of course purchase the new magazine or previous editions you may have missed, renew your subscription and we will also have plenty of ScooterNova merchandise including pin badges, magazine storage cases, hoodies and T-shirts including our NEW ‘Addicted to 2-stroke’ design. Don’t forget, we have a credit card machine too, so no need to worry about spending the last of your beer tokens!

Yes we’ll have our famous photo peep hole with us too!

Aside from the ScooterNova stall of course (and yes we may well have a little cheese ‘n’ wine soirée Saturday afternoon if you’re passing – bring a bottle and some cheese!) the rally hub at Smallbrook stadium near Ryde is where all the entertainment is going on over the weekend, from DJs to live bands, scooter custom show to bars and a huger traders market. Day tickets are available on the gate for those with hotels off site and a regular will ferry people between the site and Ryde town all weekend. Remember, this is where the main BSRA Scooter Rally takes place, the event organised by scooterists for scooterists.
Pick up a programme at the main gate on the rally site for full details of what’s going on. Have a safe ride and see you down there!

**ScooterNova magazine is an independent publication, produced by scooterists for scooterists. It is published bi-monthly on quality paper, with credible articles written by fellow riders. Available from all good scooter shops or mail order via subscription, for more details visit the magazine’s website.
