This weekend sees the popular Devon seaside town of Exmouth host the BSRA national scooter rally and we’ll be riding down to join in the merriment and fun in the sun there.
The event poster hereabouts details what’s going on and it is in the dealers market on the Saturday where you will find the ScooterNova magazine stall. Here you will able to buy the new edition 8, renew your subscription, and for those still to discover ScooterNova magazine fully, we’ll have back issues available to browse and buy too.
The dealers market takes place at the Pavillion on the seafront, near the Deer Leap pub (for those of us who have been riding to Exmouth since the 80s now!) or the Bath House as it is now known. This runs from 10am to 4pm and is also where you can purchase event merchandise including T-shirts and rally patches, as well as find stalls selling spare parts, oil etc. The ridden custom show also takes place at the Pavillion from midday onwards, and with the promise of good weather over the weekend, we reckon it is THE place to be.
In fact it’s all back to the Pavillion during Friday and Saturday evening until 2am for DJs and live music, all part of the official scooter rally that is organised and promoted by the scooterists of the South West Scooter Clubs. To that end, we recommend visiting the pubs around Exmouth during the day as it is a wonderful town with some great venues, but please do support the rally in the evening. Pubs and clubs have been asked by the rally organisers not to put on entertainment after 8pm that would conflict with what is going on at the Pavillion, which considering the amount of business the SWSC will bring to Exmouth over the weekend, we think is a fair request.
Ride safely and see you at the seaside!
