This weekend AF Rayspeed in Yorkshire hosted an open day to celebrate 50 years of the AF S-Type dealer special Lambretta.
The Lambretta Club of Great Britain also held a rally over the weekend a few miles away from the AF Rayspeed shop and as expected, there was an abundance of gorgeous Lambrettas to drool over al day long. With a request sent out in advance for S-Type Lambrettas of all kinds to be shown, the only problem was whether the camera had enough capacity to capture them all!

Anyway, here’s some of the many on display for those of you not fortunate enough to attend.
Also on the day there was much catching up with old friends to be done, with Lambretta luminaries Ron Moss (Supertune), The John & Norman Ronald (aka Team S-Equipe), Dick Sedgley (Lambretta Concessionaires) and Arthur Francis himself amongst those putting in an appearance, mingling amongst the hundreds of scooterists in attendance, chatting, posing for photographs autographing scooter memorabilia and even signing scooter parts too!
With hundreds of scooters ridden to the event there was plenty to admire and after AF Rayspeed opened his shop around midday there was a queue around the car park of people eager to get inside.
The event was brought to a close with a fireworks display on Saturday evening, and all in all we have to say it was well worth the 500 miles or so round trip on Lambrettas to attend, even if backsides did ache a little by the time we were home!
If you were there, here are some memories on a once in a lifetime event. If not, we’re sure you’ll still enjoy them anyway!

Nice to see Ray Kemp still in good health
