Rat Pack member Dean Martin gets a lift on a Lambretta Cento in the 1967 film The Ambushers, which according to the IMDb is a sci-fi comedy involving secret agent ‘Matt Helm’ and a flying saucer that only women can pilot!Martin made a series of films as secret agent Matt Helm films during the Sixties it seems, a ‘spoof’ James Bond by all accounts which is the best guess as we’ve not seen any of the films. For a bit of lazy Sunday afternoon scooter spotting after a heavy weekend away in the saddle it might be a film to track down and stick in the DVD player, but I’m not sure even the Cento can save it. Let’s just enjoy the image instead, hey?
