Whether you love a modern auto scooter or are strictly a classic gear-change rider, the two-wheeled world needs companies like Italjet to create something so radical we all talk about it.

As Iggy has revealed on Sluk in the past, along with the relaunch of their Dragster, which still bucks trends in the market 25 years or so on, they have been developing a version that British scooterists would not be surprised to see built in a shed closer to home – a mental engine in a scooter frame that is pure Marmite.

The final pre-production version of the Dragster 700 was unveiled to the press at Eicma on 5 November. Twin-cylinder, six speed, liquid-cooled, it doesn’t matter is bridges the scooter/ bike vehicle classification (Italjet call it the new urban superbike), it is different. In the world of jelly mould cars and plastic scooters that can sometimes be hard to differentiate between, thank you Italjet for your offerings. If only others were as brave as you.

Unfortunately without a UK importer st present, Italjet tell us they are working with selected British specialist scooter shops such as Cornwall Scooter Centre and the limited edition 700 can be ordered directly from Italjet in Italy or speak to CSC.

If that wasn’t enough, Italjet launched their new Speedster scooter in 125 and 200cc formats. Utilising 4-stroke engines their style and silhouettes are unashamedly Dragster and the scooters aimed at those looking to save a few pennies. With an estimated price of just shy of 4000 euros for the 125, once more we have learner legal scooters on the market that younger riders will hopefully find appealing.

Of course there are still the 125, 200 and 300 Dragsters in the range too.
