If you’re heading off to Mersea Island scooter rally this weekend, don’t forget to visit the ScooterNova stall on Saturday to pick up your copy of the new magazine. You will find us in the rally HQ marquee alongside the host club, Colchester DVLC stall where they will be selling rally merchandise, T-shirts & patches.

Although weekend tickets for the rally have sold out, day tickets valid from 9am to 6pm on Saturday for scooter riders will be available on the gate.
For those with weekend tickets, gates open midday on Friday the 30th of August and scooter riders and pillions who arrive within the first 500 will receive a free Mersea Rally patch.
What’s Going On?
Mersea Island Scooter rally has reputation for booking a good variety of bands playing original material as well as having a variety of DJ’s in different rooms to keep us entertained during the evening.
On Saturday itself, various scooter dealers will open up their stalls for business, including ScooterNova of course. So as you wander into the Rally HQ marquee to pick up your patches, T-shirts and other merchandise, come and say hello to us and get your copy of the brand new magazine.
We will have some previous editions of the magazines with us too, along with a range of T-shirts and hoodies…
… 2024 pin badges, a few books, key fobs, the ever popular Rok Straps luggage straps (new stock has arrived since selling out of these at the Isle of Wight!)…
… and some brand new 2025 Scooters wall-calendars that landed from the printers just minutes before loading JG’s van!
Speaking of which, elsewhere on the site Jonny Gilbert will have the JG Scooters portable dyno for all those who wish to prove their scooter’s worth. This always draws a crowd and often turns up some impressively powerful scooters as well.

At a slower pace, Mersea also has a reputation for their ‘fun games’ – all are invited to take part and the games often end up getting messy, although if you like beer and bananas they include free food and drink…
Games organiser Tony has promised some new games along with new twists to old favourites for this year, so make sure you don’t miss those!
Saturday also sees the scooter custom taking place in the main entertainment marquee, something which the organisers put a lot of effort into resulting in a good variety of scooters to enjoy.
With all this and more to look forward to, make sure you have a read of the event programmes that you will receive at the gate upon arrival.
Have a safe ride and we look forward to seeing you on the road, at the bar, on the dance floor or come and say hello on Saturday morning.
