Our scooters are packed, waterproofs ready and Friday morning sees us heading towards Southport in Merseyside on our classic 1960s Italian shopping machines for the BSRA Trade & Custom Show. Who else is going?
The last major national event of what has been an unusual year, VFM and Lambretta Club Great Britain have put together a weekend’s programme despite all the odds and we’re very much looking forward to it all!
As well as evening entertainment with live bands and DJs both Friday and Saturday in the Prince of Wales Hotel on Lord Street, the venue also plays host to the Trade Show and Scooter Parts Fair during Saturday from 10:30am onwards.
ScooterNova magazine will have a stall there (with thanks to Vespa Club of Britain for sharing a van to get the stock to the venue) and we will have the BRAND NEW edition 28 of the magazine for sale, hot off the press – and complete with the FREE 2022 wall-planner of course!
As always you’ll be able to subscribe and renew subscriptions at the ScooterNova stall, which will be adjacent to the Lambretta Club Great Britain stall inside the hotel. As well as ScooterNova merchandise we will have the 2022 ScooterNova calendars for sale, Christmas cards and also Sticky’s new Kit Book as well as the Spanners manual too, should you be looking for scooter related gifts to purchase in the lead up to Christmas.
The Scooter Custom Show will take place just around the corner from the hotel at Southport Market Hall on King Street, and entrance to one venue will get you a wristband allowing entrance to the other as well. Entry during the day is free to LCGB members upon production of a valid membership card, otherwise entrance is just £2 per person. Note that the car park at the Prince of Wales is run by a third party and charges apply to both scooters and cars. Alternative parking is available nearby or on the street.
Tickets for both the evening events are available on the door and the fun continues until 2am!
Oh and if you recognise the custom scooter from the rally patch, it was featured in edition 22 of ScooterNova magazine!
So have safe ride everyone and we look forward to seeing many of you there at the stall, the dance floor afterwards or maybe the bar!
