Isle of Wight Scooter Rally 2020 – NEWS FLASH!!

New decade – new location – same weekend – same favourite Island!

VFM are pleased to announce that the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally will take place at a brand new venue in 2020.

With uncertainty over the future of Smallbrook, our rally home for 20 years, and the loss of use of 50% of the site, VFM have been working hard to secure a new venue to take the International Scooter Rally forward into 2020 and beyond.

The 2019 rally ended on a high with a fantastic live performance by Smoove & Turrell in the main marquee on the Saturday night, and this mainstay of the rally calendar is set to continue on the Island for 2020 at a brand new location.

They are now able to announce that the new venue for the 2020 scooter rally will be Sandown Airport, on the south east of the island.

With easy site access, a huge camping area and  Sandown on the doorstep, plans are already being drawn up with regards to entertainment and the popular dealers village, as well as the international scooter custom show, all taking place on the site.

As before, a shuttle bus will take day trippers to and from the nearby town of Sandown, offering Scooterists a change of scenery from previous years both on and off the site.

As Scooterists ourselves we understand how important a change of venue is for the rally scene and we hope you are as excited about this as we are.

Further details will be released throughout the year, but for now please mark Sandown on your calendar for the Bank Holiday weekend of 28-31 August 2020.

We thank you as always for your support, and wish all our scooter riding friends best wishes for Christmas and a happy new year!

  1. I remember in 87 camping at Lake next to Sandown Airport before they built Morrisons, That’s when the rally used to be on Shanklin Pier and the official campsite was at Yaverland.
