The north Somerset coastal resort of Weston-super-Mare is calling us this weekend for the second BSRA National scooter rally of 2019.
Home of the Lambretta Museum (and also ScooterNova magazine HQ), this is one of our favourite seaside rallies on the calendar.
Just £20 gets you a weekend pass to all entertainment and camping at the centrally located Rugby Club (£15 without camping) near the train station, which also hosts the scooter dealers/traders. ScooterNova magazine will of course be trading in sunny Weston and you’ll find us by the main entrance gate with the SWSC (South West Scooter Clubs) stall, where the official scooter rally merchandise will also be available.
We will have the brand new edition 13 with us, so if you want to know what it is like to own and ride a Lambretta Targa Twin 275cc engine, check out an eye-catching Vespa hot-rod built for less than £1000, be inspired by some scooter touring, or drool over a stunning DDK painted Lambretta street racer, then these along with exclusive interviews with Ray Kemp of AF Rayspeed and John Horner of RW Horner Brothers and more can be found in edition 13. We will also have some back issues, merchandise and our new limited edition enamel pin badges.
Weston is a great town for a pub crawl with many venues working with the rally organisers during the day to offer bands and DJs in their premises, turning their music off at night when the official rally events kick in, which include live bands and DJs on the pier and DJs at the rugby club house too.
Have a safe ride folks and we’ll see you down there!
