We came across this video the other day and while the single isn’t due for release until the end of January, we thought you’d like to watch this now!
The Beatniks are a Mod/ garage/ beat band from Southend-on-Sea in sunny Essex and feature a couple of scooter riding band members – yes, the scooters in this film are not just props, they are proudly owned and ridden machines!
The song is called Ball & Chain, which we reckon is pretty good too (we do like distorted guitars and crashing Hammond organ chords!) and is due to be released on The Beatniks’ own label on the 30 January 2016. The video was shot by Tunnel Shark and we reckon they’ve done a great job capturing the feel and sound of the band. It’s a bit retro, but definitely in a good way!
