Scarborough Scooter Rally 2015  – a great weekend

I’m sure those of you who went remember most of it, but for those who didn’t well this is some of what you missed.

A moist ride up on Friday, complete with   thick fog and a diesel spill on a roundabout just outside of town.

Once unpacked there was plenty of meeting up of old friends, but for the scooter aficionados Saturday was the day. Not only did the sun poke its head out but this meant hundreds of scooters descended on The Spa for the trade and custom show there.

Once inside we were treated to a whole host of scooters to appreciate, from a restored Model D Lambretta to a full line up of DTC street racers, the impressive engineering of a Vespa GTS engine inside a Lambretta Series 2 to the precise airbrush work of Start Me Up and more.

Aside from eye-catching paint and chrome work was an intriguing Chopped Vespa and also a Lambretta Special with Pav trailer featuring both homemade and original period accessories.

Anyway, here’s a taste of what you may have missed. See you next time!
