Vespa Rally 200 50th Anniversary

In April 1972 Piaggio launched their latest Vespa scooter, the Rally 200. An update of the previous Rally 180 model, it was the largest capacity production Vespa yet and the first to feature electronic ignition as standard.

The forthcoming edition 34 of ScooterNova magazine celebrates the 50th anniversary of what is our favourite production Vespa with over a dozen pages dedicated to this iconic scooter. With rare images from the Piaggio Archives plus photographs from private collections, we look at how the Rally 200 came into being, the evolution of the model, the part it played in the British scooter scene as well as exploring the myth surrounding a special Silver Jubilee edition model.

Is this the best Vespa ever? Read the article and let us know if you agree.
