Yes the rumours are true – and if you attended the Bridlington Trade & Custom Scooter Show in the UK on 25 October 2014 you’d have seen all this for yourself!

That is of course if you could get close enough to the Rimini Lambretta Centre stall at the show, which always seemed to be 4 or 5 people deep throughout the day.
Once you’d fought your way to the front the RLC team had a display that left many scooterists drooling. From BSG in Italy they had two billet Lambretta casings, developed in conjunction with Casa Lambretta. These are truly works of art that need to be seen and touched to be appreciated. Designed to be stronger in the necessary areas, uprated features include the ability to fit a larger, multi plate clutch, crankcase reed valve induction and also the fabled 305cc top end kit.

We first brought you news of the BSG 305 kit a couple of months ago now, and a prototype of it was also there to appreciate, along with the hefty crank designed to go with it.

The clever bit about this kit and crankshaft is that they are also designed to fit BSG’s billet Vespa engine casings which they are also developing.
In fact they’ve got a little further with the Vespa and RLC had a working example of the prototype engine and kit on display at Bridlington too, along with a dyno graph from JB Tuning (who were also present on the stand at Bridlington, as the recently appointed UK importers of Casa Lambretta performance products) quoting a whopping 51hp. Yes folks, that’s right, 51hp! RLC were also suggesting that BSG weren’t finished with the product yet either, so that figure could well rise when production eventually begins, hopefully in 2015.
And if further proof was required as to how terrifying that kind of power sounds bolted into a Vespa PX, the scooter was fired up after the show a few demo runs completed with the front wheel often in the air and the rider looking somewhat shaken. Thanks to some mad Italians, scootering ust went completely bonkers!

How much will a P X lump cost with all the full on bits and bobs.?? Thanks,
They’ve not announced any prices yet.
For uk contact JB Tuning.
For Europe contact Rimini Lambretta Centre.
Can you notify me when they will be going on sale.
You’ll need to contact BSG, RLC or JBT for that info.
When will JB have motors for sale thanks.
You need to ask JB tuning that, but our guess is the earliest will be late next spring
