If something is popular, you’d be a fool not to cash in. We’ve seen it so many times in the scooter scene, people jumping aboard bandwagons one minute and jumping ship the next. But that’s life, isn’t it. You’ve got to have your finger on the pulse, which is just what Mr Heffner at Playboy did.
If everybody out there in the wide world is riding scooters, then why not put one on the front of your monthly glossy? As a publication for gentlemen, the Lambretta was perfect for the cover of 1950s Playboy magazine, being a vehicle suitable for both ladies and gents. And as we said last week, you can’t go wrong with a Lambretta LI Series 1!
Speaking of the fairer sex, while the man is out at work then the little lady can settle back to some knitting after she has completed her daily household chores. With such things in mind, P&B Wools offered the creative ladies patterns such as these for a ‘scooter coat’ for those long weekends away scooter riding together.

Of course when it comes to style, fashion and full-on ‘look at that a*se’ kind of magazine cover, you can always rely on the Italians. Ciao!
