Within Covid-related Government guidelines, riding your scooter wearing a crash helmet and keeping safe distance is a form of social distancing we’ve all been doing for years.
The ScooterNova Three Shires Ride is a gentle bimble of approximately 125 miles throughout picturesque Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. Entries were restricted and the event was soon over-subscribed after details appeared in edition 25 of ScooterNova magazine , which is good news because the ScooterNova Three Shires Ride was also raising money for the Local Air Ambulance charity.
We have an event page on Facebook here , if you’ve not yet found it, so feel free to share your day with friends on social media (#ScooterNova3Shires #ThreeShiresRide)
If you took part we would love you to share some photos with us here at ScooterNova so we can include a selection in the next edition of the magazine as well as in the online gallery below. You can upload images via the form here, and please include some details so we can caption and credit your photos accordingly (please make sure you own the copyright to any photos you upload).

We would thank the fellow scooterists who came to the rescue of Bradley Guest of the Barnsley Vikings SC, travelling down the day before to stay in Long Eaton. Bradley started losing fuel and pulled up in Notts, recovered with the back-up van (myself), Bradley posted his dilemma on the 3 Shires group page and was looking for a replacement float chamber to enable him to repair and continue the 3 Shires Ride the day after. Within 30 mins a fellow rider, unknown to us, had read the post and agreed to loan Bradley a float chamber. He turned up at 8am the morning of the ride and wouldn’t take a penny for his trouble. Bradley completed the ride and returned to Barnsley. No problems, apart from getting lost about 20 times, like most of us! – Photo by Paul Hilton
