New Vespa Pic Nic Announced

Italian scooter manufacturer Piaggio announced today that a new version of their Vespa Primavera model is to be produced, the  Pic Nic.
The Vespa Pic Nic is kitted out with a range of dedicated accessories,
“designed for maximum enjoyment of outdoor moments, in the most classic ride in the countryside or in one of those green corners that are increasingly more common in cities.”
In a nutshell, if you fancy heading off for an idyllic ride on a classy Italian scooter before stopping off for a spot of lunch you’ve prepared at home, then the new Pic Nic will help you to do that in style.
The accessories include an elegant picnic basket made of wood intertwined with rattan that contains a convenient removable cooler bag and the must-have blanket. Made in a special jacquard fabric with a pattern that mimics the woven basket, the blanket is water resistant, so it is the ideal accessory for any outdoor activity.
Both the basket and the blanket are enhanced with the Vespa Pic Nic logo and have been designed to be conveniently transported on the chrome plated front and rear luggage racks which comes standard on this special edition Vespa. The set is completed by a brown leather belt that also serves as a handle to carry the folded blanket.

The Vespa Pic Nic is available in the Verde Pic Nic (pictured) and Grigio Pic Nic colour schemes with graphics on the side panels and a dedicated two-tone saddle, where the beige seating area is combined with a dark brown rear stripe with a particular woven pattern and finished with light grey piping. The strap across features an Italian flag whilst the dark brown shade appears in the rubber inserts on the floor and centre mat.
Other features include chrome plated body profiles and its wheel rims, painted grey with diamond edges. As with every special edition of Vespa, a plate on the legshield identifies the series.
The Vespa Pic Nic will be available in Vespa dealerships from July. Two models will be released: the 125 engine version with an RRP price of £4,500.00 and the i-get 50 which will not be available in the UK.  For further details see your local Vespa dealer or click on the main website here.
