This weekend, like many of you, we were planning to be at the Big 7 scooter rally in Kent, which of course sadly isn’t going ahead due to the global pandemic still affecting us all.
Not only is it a terrible shame for the Big 7 SC who have put a lot of time and effort into trying to arrange an event despite the circumstances, but of course we’re all missing the ride and meeting up with our friends at the other end for a good ol’ party!
This weekend also sees the launch on the new ScooterNova magazine, edition 26. As we’ve done in the past, it would have been good to set up our stall and meet friends old and new as they stop by for a chat and to buy the latest edition. This not only affects our direct sales, but restrictions also affect those of scooter shops nationwide that also sell ScooterNova magazine and welcome customers to their stalls at rallies and events to buy the magazine and scooter parts/consumables, as well as over the counter at their premises.

Whether it’s a single spark plug, bottle of oil or you really want a new exhaust pipe or shiny accessories, your local scooter shop can only survive with the support of customers – and you’ll miss them if they’re gone. After all, what other kind of shop can sort you out with a new clutch cable on the way home from work if yours has snapped?
