During the recent Morecambe pre-season scooter rally, PM Tuning – one of the companies behind the forthcoming Scomadi brand – held an open day at their Lancashire shop.

During the day scooter riders were invited to test the power of their steeds on the Dyno following a small donation to charity, the local Air Ambulance the grateful recipients of the day’s fundraising.
Also on display at the shop, besides all the goodies that PM Tuning produces and stocks themselves, were a couple of Scomadi scooters, including a 50cc prototype of the forthcoming Turismo Leggera production scooters.

Up until now Scoamdi have been hand building limited edition 250 and 300cc versions of their scooters here in the UK using Piaggio engines and a host of premium parts, which included a run of scooters earring carbon fibre bodywork.
In 2014 however they will launch a range of mass produced (and therefore more affordable) models beginning with a learner legal 50cc version, at a factory in Asia, hopefully some time this summer. This will be followed by a 125cc model, and then eventually a 300 but those desiring an affordable alternative to the Vespa GTS are unlikely to see it before the end of 2014 unfortunately.

Keep an eye on the scootering press and Scoamdi website for up to date information as well as pricing details which although yet to be determined is hoped to be ‘competitive’.
