Yes I know, but we reckon the Vespa Cosa is gaining popularity these days, and when you can do things like this to them, it’s easy to understand why.
This one comes courtesy of those talented people at
Scooter & Service in Hamburg, Germany, and once again they’ve applied their magic to create a scooter-motive masterpiece.
Uploaded onto the shop’s website back in May 2012, we actually found it the other day while shopping for something ourselves although we have of course posted scooters from S&S in the past, or rather a drop dead gorgeous Vespa engine.
Coincidentally, we also spotted another Vespa from Hamburg at the Isle of Wight scooter rally in August 2013 that sported a similar headset to the Cosa here, complete with funky red display hidden below the surface. Very subtle…
Powering this combo is a Malossi kitted PX200 engine that have both been machined by S&S to obtain optimum performance. Having owned and ridden sidecar combinations, squeezing every last bhp out of a motor is essential…
A Dellorto PHBH 30mm carburettor inhales the air/ fuel mixture, with a S&S Newline exhaust at the other end to expel the waste fumes. Handling the power for the final drive is a CNC machined S&S clutch, that power being 22PS (21.98hp). There are also disc brakes at both ends, up-rated Bitubo shocks, steering damper as well as a whole load of other funky parts that have been added to this outfit to make it both go and look well.
