Does the Isle of Wight bore you? Is EuroLambretta or World Vespa Days just not challenging enough? How about north Africa then?Look interesting? It’s caught our attention anyway and while our Spanish isn’t too great, we can deduce a few things from the Vespa Raid Maroc website and their Facebook page.
This event began with 13 riders back in 2012 and double that amount entered in 2014, from France, Spain and Brazil. The event combines navigation skills with those of riding off-road among some stunning scenery through numerous stages and check points.
The dates for this year’s event are from 25th October to the 1st November 2014. The cost of entry, if you do so, before the 25 April 2014 will be 995 €uros, and will cost 1095 €uros after that until the cut off point in August.
This price doesn’t include your personal transport to and from Morocco, and we don’t think that of your Vespa either. It may however include use fo a back up truck and accommodation as these events usually do.
Either way, this looks to be a very interesting week away on your scooter and one that’s very tempting indeed. Does anyone know next week’s winning lottery numbers please?
